Scouting the Trojans: After finishing the year tied for third in the South Atlantic Conference last season, the Anderson University Trojans are off to a 4-4 start in the 2022-23 campaign. Last time out, the Trojans were defeated by the Savannah State Tigers 74-63. The Trojans are led on the court by sophomore forward Diamond McDowell who averages 11.0 points per game. McDowell also leads the team in rebounding with 8.3 rebounds per game and averages 1.0 blocks per game. She's closely followed in scoring by senior guard Jalyn Spurlin who averages 10.9 points per game. Anderson is shooting 37.6% from the field as a team and averages 60.6 points per game.

Scouting the Wolves: The Wolves enter Wednesday's game 4-4 and on a two-game win streak after defeating Emmanuel and Erskine by final scores of 52-47 and 38-31, respectively, last week. Redshirt senior center Ericka Wiseley (Mt. Pleasant, S.C.) remains the Wolves' leading scoring with 11.3 points per game. She put up 10 points in the victory over the Flying Fleet on Dec. 1. She also leads the team in rebounds and blocks with 6.0 rebounds per game and 1.75 blocks per game. Junior guard Payton Cronen (Louisville, Ky.) was the team's second leading scorer against Erskine and leads the team with 22 three-point shots made through eight games. She accounts for 48.9% of the team's three-pointers and averages 9.3 points per game. As they enter conference play, the Wolves are undefeated in Eleazer Arena this season.
