Scouting the Braves: The Braves of UNC-Pembroke come into the dual with a 2-0 record after previously defeating the Limestone Saints on November 15 by a score of 39-12. Their other previous victory came in a duel against the Coker Cobras on the 10th of November by a score of 39-6. Coached by Othello Johnson, one to watch for the Braves is redshirt sophomore Garrett Steele in the 197 lb. weight class. Boasting a 7-1 season record and a 2-0 conference record, he has four pins on the year (which leads the team) along with a major decision.

Scouting the Wolves: The Wolves will travel to Pembroke, N.C. with a similar 2-0 record after defeating the Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters at Eleazar Arena on November 16 by a score of 43-12. The other victory for the Wolves came on the road in a tightly contested matchup against Belmont Abbey on November 10 by a score of 24-15. One to watch for the Wolves is John Parker (Temecula, Calif.), who also wrestles at 197 lbs. Coming off of a forfeit victory against LMU, Parker previously was in action at the Ohio Intercollegiate Open on November 13 when he secured a third place finish at the tournament. His only dual on the year so far came against Belmont Abbey back on November 10 when he secured a victory by pin.
