Newberry, S.C. - The Newberry College men's basketball team (9-7, 9-5 SAC) are set to travel to Charlotte, N.C. to take on the No. 18 Queens Royals (16-3, 12-3 SAC) on Wednesday with tip-off scheduled for 6 p.m.
Both teams come into this game riding three-game winning streaks with the Wolves having defeated UVA Wise on Saturday 69-57 and the Royals coming off an 80-71 victory at Limestone.
The Wolves were victorious over the Royals, who were ranked ninth in the country according to the NABC coaches' poll, in their previous matchup by a final score of 67-65 on Dec. 8 after TJ Brown hit the game-winning pull-up jumper in the final moments of the contest.
The Royals, who currently sit alone atop the South Atlantic Conference Standings, boast four different players that average double-figure scoring, and they are led by preseason First Team All-SAC honorees Jabari Smith and Kenny Dye, the latter of which leads the conference in three-point shooting percentage (52.5).
