MATCHUP HISTORY
This Wednesday's contest will be the 44th meeting all-time between Newberry and Limestone Women's basketball and the last of two matchups this season. Newberry leads the all-time series versus Limestone, 26-18, with Newberry winning the two of the last four meetings.
The last contest between the Wolves and Saints took place earlier this season on Nov. 20, 2021, with Limestone escaping with the road victory, 77-54, inside Eleazer Arena.

NEWBERRY
Newberry (3-12, 3-9 SAC) looks for a bounce-back win after falling short on the road at Catawba, 80-44, this past Saturday (Jan. 15), inside Goodman Gym.
The Wolves head into Wednesday's matchup with eight players averaging five or more points through 15 games. Junior Giulia Bongiorno leads all Wolves in scoring and assists, averaging 9.2 points per game and 2.1 assists.
Senior Talia Roberts has also been impressive this season despite battling through injury, averaging 9.7 points per game in just seven games and also scoring double-figures in four out of seven of the games she has played.
Redshirt Junior Tyla Stolberg is also a key scorer for the Wolves, averaging 8.1 points per game and 4.4 rebounds on the season.
Redshirt Junior Mylaysia Gates looks to continue her success on the boards as she tops the wolves in rebounding with six rebounds per game and 5.9 points in 14 games played.
LIMESTONE
Limestone (8-3, 5-3 SAC) looks for success in their first game since the turn of the year, after ending 2021 with a win over Carson-Newman (88-76) on Saturday (Dec. 18), inside the Timken Center.
Three Saints are averaging double figures in scoring this season, with Quin Byrd leading the charge, averaging 18.3 points and four assists on the season. Reagan Kargo heads into Wednesday's game second in scoring (13.2) and team leader in rebounds with 4.5 per game through the first 11 games.
LAST ACTION
Talia Roberts led all Wolves in scoring (12 points) in a tough loss on Saturday (Jan. 15) to Catawba, coming off the bench in her first game back since Dec. 20. Courtney Virgo scored nine points with five of those coming as the team's first points of the game. Giulia Bongiorno led the way in rebounding with six boards and five points on the day.
