Box Score SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Newberry College junior Lucy Spice won both her matchups on Saturday as the Wolves took down Converse 5-2.

Newberry swept doubles play, earning the opening point of the day. Junior Judit Gonzalez Agud and senior Elisa Aguirre won 6-3 at first doubles, Spice and junior Amy Griffiths won 6-2 at second doubles, and freshman Rosie Harfield and sophomore Rebecca Gibbons won 6-4 at third doubles.

The Wolves earned a point on the top three courts. Gonzalez Agud took down her opponent in three sets 6-4, 4-6, 10-5 at first singles. Her doubles partner, Aguirre, defeated her opponent 6-3, 6-1 at second singles. Griffiths also won by a scores of 6-3, 6-1 at third singles. Spice took care of business at fifth singles, winning 6-1, 6-3. Freshman Ish Singh lost at fourth singles and Gibbons lost in three sets at sixth singles.
