Cross Country Hosts Second Ever Home Meet this Weekend

Run The Berry XC Festival to Take Place on October 2nd

Newberry, S.C. - The Newberry Men's and Women's Cross Country Teams return from a three week break and will host the Run The Berry XC Festival this Saturday morning at "The Farm". 
Storylines:
  • This is the second time that Newberry has hosted a home meet, the first being the only meet the program ran in the 2020 season.
  • Jacob Johnson and Reagan Wells led the Wolves the last time out at the Furman XC Invitational in Greenville, S.C.
  • The women will get the morning started with a 5k at 9:00 AM and the men will follow with an 8k with a scheduled start time of 9:45 AM
  • This is the kick-off to several meets being hosted at Newberry's home course with several championship-level high school meets taking to the course over the coming weeks
  • After this race, both teams will head to Charlotte, N.C. to preview the course for the upcoming SAC Conference Championships at the Queens Invitational  
  • After the Queens Invitational and SAC Championship in Charlotte, the season concludes with the NCAA Southeast Regional Championship in Spartanburg.
