Harry Bolton began competition at the NCAA DII South/Southeast Regional tournament as the lone Wolves competitor today, finishing the first round with a score of 82 (+10) after a slow start.
Bolton began the day on the back nine but couldn't find his footing early on, posting three consecutive bogeys to get his outing started. The senior was able to shoot for par on the next two holes, but ultimately fell into another bogey on hole 15.
After posting a 43 (+6) on the back nine, Bolton's front nine numbers were a slight improvement. Bolton struggled early, posting three bogeys through the first five holes, but was able to close out his day on a high note with a birdie on hole nine.
The worst of Bolton's round one outing came on holes seven and 17, where the Canberra, Australia native was only able post double bogeys. His rough day has him heading into round two with an individual score of 82 (+10) and slotted in a tie for 98th in the field of 108.
With plenty of ground to make up for Bolton, competitors will continue play tomorrow morning in round two at the El Campeon Golf Course in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida.
