Game One (Newberry wins 9-0 vs. Alderson Broaddus - 5 inn.)

Newberry took care of business in the first game of the doubleheader against the Battlers. Paige Meyer started things off with a leadoff single in the first. Meyer advanced home on Natalie Willis' fly ball to center field was dropped, allowing her to reach home safely.

A passed ball followed by an error on the catcher allowed Hannah Davis to score from second in the next inning after she singled to reach on base.

The Wolves' offense took over in the third inning, starting with Meyer getting on base after a walk. Meyer advanced to second on a passed ball, followed by Willis reaching to first on a bunt.

Another walk thrown by the Battlers allowed Newberry to load the bases. The Wolves added two runs on a walk and wild pitch with the bases loaded, bringing up Reagan Glanz with two runners on. Glanz took a 3-1 count before hitting her second career homerun to give Newberry a 7-0 lead.

The Wolves concluded the run-rule game in the bottom of the fifth when Chelsey Cunningham hit a two-RBI double to right field.
