Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 CHARLOTTE, N.C - The Newberry women's tennis team was able to add two more victories to its fall season, defeating both Johnson C. Smith and Catawba in Charlotte to improve to 6-0 on the season.

The Wolves continued their hot streak against Johnson C. Smith, proving themselves victorious in the past twelve contests against the non-conference opponent. Newberry was able to start the day off strong in doubles play as Amy Griffiths and Lucy Spice set the tone by defeating Nija Price and Jada Strickland with a 6-1 decision. Judit Gonzalez Agud and Lucia Davila cruised by with a 6-0 victory. 

Singles play was much of the same as the Wolves did not allow Johnson C. Smith to pick up a win. Crucial performances came from Spice, Davila and Madison Conwell, while the other matches were not completed. This resulted in a 4-0 overall win for the Wolves. 

The Wolves kept the same pace rolling against Catawba, defeating the Catawba Indians 6-1. Newberry was to pick up two wins in doubles action as Gonzalez Agud and teammate Elisa Aguirre cruised by their opponents by a 6-0 margin. Davila and Gibbons were able to follow their footsteps and defeated Catawba's Merionne Hunt and Charisma Nuqui 6-4.  

Newberry had no trouble in singles play either. Gonzalez, Agud, Spice, and Davila were victorious despite their matches going into a third set. The Wolves showed persistence as they calmly executed to win those third set matches. Amy Griffiths defeated Catawbas Lauren Laughton, 6-3, 6-2. Madison Conwell was able to get the better of Marianne Hunt, prevailing 6-3,6-3.
