NEWBERRY – No. 25 Newberry women's basketball will host No. 14 Anderson on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.
Newberry (11-1, 5-0 SAC) and Anderson (13-2, 7-0 SAC) remain as the only undefeated teams in the South Atlantic Conference.
The Wolves will be seeking their first win over a ranked opponent since their 56-52 win over No. 8 Lincoln Memorial during the 2016-17 regular season.
Newberry women's basketball encourages students to come to the game early as the first 40 students will receive free pizza. The "rowdiest" fans during the game will also receive gift cards to Zaxby's.

- Anderson is ranked No. 14 in the D2SIDA National Media poll and No. 1 in the D2SIDA Southeast Region poll
- The Trojans are led by 6-0 junior guard Alexy Mollenhauer who leads Anderson in scoring (17.4 ppg) and rebounding (11.7 rpg)
- The Trojans rank 2nd nationally in rebounds per game (47.27)
- 35th nationally in blocked shots per game (4.3) and 52nd in 3-point field goals per game (7.7)
LAST TIME OUT
- Newberry remained perfect in SAC play with their 89-82 win over Queens. Meg Essex recorded her fifth double-double of the season with 27 points and 10 boards while Shelby Britten had her fifth consecutive game of 20 points or more with 24 points. Kelsey McDermott also grabbed a career-best 11 rebounds (six offensive) in the victory
- Anderson extended their winning streak to 11 with an 83-81 win at Carson-Newman on Wednesday. The Trojans had four players score 14 points or more led by Taylor Hair's 21 points off the bench.
