Box Score NEWBERRY – The Newberry women's tennis team won their first match of the fall season in dominating fashion, beating Converse 7-0.

Newberry won all doubles matches against the Valkyries; Elise Aguirre and Frederike Klein defeated Steffi Kong & Snighda Musugunthan 6-1 at the No. 1 position while at No. 2 Joelle Huelse & Lucia Davila earned an impressive 6-0 win over Pauline Hagen and Morgan Hildebrandt. At No. 3 Madison Conwell and Megan Togneri defeated Gracie Batcher and Martha Quattlebaum 6-2. 
 
The Wolves also won handily in singles as Aguirre won at No. 1, defeating Kong 6-3, 7-5. Klein earned a 6-2, 6-0 win at the No. 2 position over Musugunthan, Amy Griffiths defeated Hagen 6-3, 6-4 at No. 3, Lucy Spice picked up a 6-2, 6-1 win over Hildebrandt at No. 4, Huelse was dominant in her 6-1, 6-1 win over Quattlebaum at No. 5. Davila capped the day off at No. 6, defeating Chelsea Lewis 6-0, 6-0.
