NEWBERRY STORYLINES
- Head coach Sean Page has two 1,000 career point scorers so far this season; Nicola Handreck (vs. Limestone) and Meg Essex (vs. Queens).
- Meg Essex needs 49 more blocks this season to tie recent Newberry Hall of Fame inductee, Tiffany Johnson at 225.
- Essex has eight double-doubles on the season to equal 11 for her career.
- Head coach Sean Page needs 26 more wins to reach 200 at Newberry.
- Against North Greenville, Hannah Lepaio and Meg Essex became the first Wolves' duo to record a double-double in 51 weeks. It was Lepaio's first double-double of the season.
- Against Mars Hill, Newberry set a season high in points in a period at 31, Georgia Elliott-King set a career high in points with 19, and bench set a new season high with 39 points.
- Shelby Britten had her sixth 20-plus point game of the season vs. Wingate, scoring 25.
COKER STORYLINES
- Coker is currently ninth in the South Atlantic Conference standings at 5-9 after two consecutive wins, a 70-63 overtime triumph at Queens and a 75-65 win at Mars Hill.
- The Cobras defeated Newberry 60-49 in the teams' first meeting in Hartsville on Jan. 3 to snap a six-game Newberry winning streak in the series.
- Forward Janea Williams is the reigning AstroTurf SAC Player of the Week after averaging 22 points, 13 rebounds, and 8.5 blocks per game in Coker's two wins last week.
