NEWBERRY - No. 6 Newberry will travel to No. 3 Carson-Newman for the quarterfinal round of the 2018 South Atlantic Conference Men's Basketball Championship Quarterfinal on Wednesday, February 28 at 8:00 p.m.

TODAY'S TOP STORYLINES
  • Rob Valentine shone on senior day dropping 33 points to lead all scorers in Newberry's 91-81 win over Tusculum in their regular season finale.
  • The Wolves handed nationally-ranked Carson-Newman their first loss of the season with the 75-70 triumph at Eleazer Arena on Dec. 2. Valentine and Stepp each logged 19 points in the victory, while Charles Clark was held to 15 points.
  • This is the second consecutive year Newberry will face the Eagles in the South Atlantic Conference tournament quarterfinal. Last year the Wolves fell 96-74 in the first round with James Stepp recording 30 points.
  • Newberry maintains their first-place spot in three-pointers made per game with 14.1.
