TODAY'S TOP STORYLINES
- Rob Valentine shone on senior day dropping 33 points to lead all scorers in Newberry's 91-81 win over Tusculum in their regular season finale.
- The Wolves handed nationally-ranked Carson-Newman their first loss of the season with the 75-70 triumph at Eleazer Arena on Dec. 2. Valentine and Stepp each logged 19 points in the victory, while Charles Clark was held to 15 points.
- This is the second consecutive year Newberry will face the Eagles in the South Atlantic Conference tournament quarterfinal. Last year the Wolves fell 96-74 in the first round with James Stepp recording 30 points.
