Wolves gear up for quarterfinals matchup at Carson-Newman

NEWBERRY – The Newberry women's basketball team will travel to Jefferson City to take on the No. 4 seed Carson-Newman Lady Eagles in the quarterfinals of the 2017 South Atlantic Conference Championship.

NEWBERRY STORYLINES

Newberry ended the regular season on a seven-game winning streak clinching the No. 5 seed in the 2017 SAC Championship.

CARSON-NEWMAN STORYLINES

Carson-Newman ended the regular season winning 4 out of their last 5 games, earning the No. 4 seed in the 2017 SAC Championship.

Mika Wester leads the Lady Eagles averaging 18.6 ppg, and 6.6 rpg.

Kailyn Brooks is averaging 14.0 ppg for the Lady Eagles.

Carson-Newman is first in the SAC in points per game, and field goals made/attempted.
