Newberry and Anderson square off for second time

NEWBERRY – The Newberry women's basketball team will look to split the season series with Anderson when the Trojans come to town this weekend.

NEWBERRY STORYLINES

Shelby Britten has 38 assists over the last six games. Newberry is 4-2 in those games. She is second in the SAC with 4.9 assists per game.

ANDERSON STORYLINES

Anderson is coming off a dominating 98-38 win over Mars Hill on Wednesday.

The Trojans are 10-3 in the conference, tied with Wingate and Catawba.

Senior forward Alexis Dillard leads the Trojans averaging 17.3 points per game.

The Trojans lead the conference in opponent shooting percentage holding teams to an average of 33.8 percent from the field, and 23.9 percent from beyond the arc.

Anderson leads the conference with 29.4 defensive rebounds per game.
