Box Score GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - An 11-goal surge by the host Tusculum Pioneers broke open a tie game, as the Newberry Wolves dropped an 18-3 decision in Saturday's South Atlantic Conference match at Pioneer Field.
Newberry is now 4-3 overall and 1-1 in SAC action while Tusculum is 7-1 overall and 2-0 in the league. Newberry hosts Coker on Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m.

- Jessica Baxtrom, Maddie Campbell and Kylee Shoop each scored a goal apiece for the Wolves.
- Brandy Bowman made 12 saves as Tusculum unloaded 38 shots in the contest.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The first 10 minutes of the game were closely contested, as Baxtrom's goal at the 23:22 mark tied up the match at 1-1. Tusculum would score just 19 seconds later off of the draw control and never looked back.
Shoop's goal at the 16 minute mark cut the Pioneers' lead to 4-2. Tusculum scored three straight goals but none in the last 10 minutes of the half, taking a 7-3 lead to the halftime break.
Tusculum scored five goals in the opening 10 minutes of the second half and had scored 11 straight before Campbell ended Newberry's scoring drought with 7:04 left in the game.
