HONORING THE SENIORS
- Wednesday's dual will be the final home action for 141 lbs. starter Nick Lankford and student assistant coach Joe Pittman.
- The duo will be honored for their contributions to Newberry wrestling at the halftime break.
IN THE RANKINGS
- As can be expected by looking at the records, the Wolves and the Tornado are at different ends of the rankings spectrum.
- Newberry is ranked third in Super Region II and 14th nationally. Trung Duong (7th, 125 lbs.) and Huston Evans (3rd, 184 lbs.) are nationally ranked, with seven Wolves ranked in the top eight of Super Region II.
- King is ranked 12th of the 14 teams in Super Region II. Bryce Killian is the third-ranked wrestler nationally at 141 lbs.
DUAL NOTES
- With a win, the Wolves would wrap up an undefeated conference record in the first season of the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division II Wrestling League at 6-0.
- Newberry earned the outright ECAC Championship on Tuesday night with Limestone's 17-15 win over UNC Pembroke.
- Newberry could pick up its 17th dual win of the season. In 11 seasons of Division II wrestling, Newberry has won 16 or more duals in nine of them.
- The Wolves are 5-0 all-time against the Tornado.
