NEWBERRY – The Newberry Wolves’ wrestling team starts the home stretch of the 2015-16 season at the Super Region Two Duals in Hartsville this weekend. Newberry wrestles four dual matches against tough competition.
On Friday, the Wolves take on Ashland at 6 p.m. before wrestling an ECAC conference dual against Emmanuel at 8 p.m. Action resumes at 9 a.m. Saturday against Kutztown with a final dual of the weekend at 11 a.m. that day against Findlay.
All matches will be wrestled in Coker College’s DeLoach Center, with live scoring available at www.TrackWrestling.com.
LOOKING AT THE WOLVES
Newberry has a 9-2 overall record and has five regionally ranked wrestlers in the probable lineup. Three of them have 10-1 dual records and will be key wins in any matchup this weekend.

The Ashland Eagles are ranked eighth in Super Region II with a strong lineup throughout. Ashland is 2-5 on the season, competing mostly in open tournaments this season. Ashland finished 8th at the Midwest Classic in December. The Wolves have a 1-1 all-time record against the Eagles. The teams have not faced off in dual action since the 2008 Newberry Duals.
