Wolves lose to Golden Bears, 4-2

NEWBERRY – The Newberry field hockey team dropped a 4-2 decision to Kutztown at Setzler Field on Sunday afternoon.

The Wolves will play again on September 11 at Lindenwood in St. Charles, Mo. 

Newberry (0-2) fell short after scoring an early goal at the start the second half to start a comeback. The Wolves were losing 2-0 after the first half, when Courtlyn Warren scored at the 45:54 mark which got the team motivated. For the next 20 minutes the Wolves were on attack until Megan Tiwold changed the momentum with a goal of her own to put the Golden Bears up 3-1.

The Golden Bears took over the game from there till the last minute when Hannah Collins scored to make it a 4-2 game.
