NEWBERRY - The Newberry Wolves volleyball team looks to stay hot as they will travel to Greeneville, Tennessee to face the Tusculum Pioneers tonight. The match will begin at 7 p.m. in Pioneer Arena. Newberry is 5-2 overall and 1-1 in the South Atlantic Conference while Tusculum is 3-2 overall and 1-1 in the SAC.
Newberry won its last match on Tuesday against Mars Hill by a score of 3-2. Newberry and Mars Hill went back and forth all night. Newberry won the first set 25-23, won the third set 26-24 and won the fifth set 15-12. The Lions took sets two and four by a score of 25-21 and 25-21. The Wolves had a late push from senior captain Alexus Horton (Austin, Texas) as she scored four of the last five points giving the Wolves the 3-2 win.

- Junior Logan Hayward leads the way for the Wolves offensively with 109 kills in the first seven matches while freshman Mary Siebert has added 87 kills to help Newberry to get off to a 6-2 start.
- Freshman Maggie Marsh has 278 assists which is the most in the conference.
- Freshman libero Kensley Jordan helps the Wolves on defense by leading the team and the conference in digs with 163 alongside with freshman Natalie Willis, who has added 95 digs.
Tusculum Notes
- Hitter Rachel Garnett leads the Pioneers with 50 kills while Laryssa Welch is right behind her with 46 kills.
- Hannah Berling has 188 assists for the Pioneers and 11.6 assists per set which leads the conference.
- Melissa Mazur leads the conference in digs per set with 6.24 which also is the sixth best in the nation.
