NEWBERRY - The Newberry Wolves volleyball team looks to go above a .500 win percentage in the South Atlantic Conference as they face off against Mars Hill tonight at 7p.m.

Newberry (5-2 overall, 1-1 SAC) will travel to Mars Hill (3-3, 1-1 SAC) tonight at Stanford Arena in Mars Hill N.C. Newberry won its last match on Saturday against Queens University by a score of 3-2. The Wolves had a late momentum swing to give them their first South Atlantic Conference win of the year. Newberry will look to continue that momentum tonight when they will take on team kill leader Lauren Hochstetler and the Lions.

NEWBERRY NOTES

- Junior Logan Hayward leads the way for the Wolves offensively with 93 kills in the first seven matches while freshman Mary Siebert has added 79 kills to help Newberry to get off to a 5-2 start.

- Freshman Maggie Marsh has 254 assists which is the most in the conference. 

- Freshman libero Kensley Jordan helps the Wolves on defense by leading the team and the conference in digs with 133 alongside with freshman Natalie Willis, who has added 79 digs.   

Mars Hill University

- Mars Hill is 3-3 overall, 1-1 in conference play with a 3-1 loss to Wingate this Past Saturday

- Lauren Hochstetler is fourth in the conference with 83 kills.

- Andie Russell leads the team in assists with 153 while Victoria Kaiser helps the Lions on defense with 128 digs.
