HILTON HEAD ISLAND - The Newberry College men's tennis team swept the doubles matches on the way to a 5-4 win over the Findlay Oilers to open the Spring Tennis Fest trip.

Jordan Monosky and Richard Zeh earned victories in singles competition at the No. 4 and No. 5 slots respectively to stop Findlay's comeback attempt.

The Wolves earned doubles victories at all three matches. In No. 1 doubles Fernando Espana and Fernando Tous won 8-6. In the No. 2 doubles match Carlos Nicolopulos and Zeh hammered out a 9-7 thriller. In the No. 3 matchup Monosky and Angel Pizzaro squeaked out a 9-8 victory against their Findlay counterparts. 

Newberry moves to 6-3 overall on the season and is next in action at noon Monday at Hilton Head Island HS against Edinboro (Pa.).
