HILTON HEAD ISLAND - The Newberry College women's tennis team suffered their third loss on the season as they fell to Tiffin 5-4 on Thursday at Spring Fest.

In doubles competition the Wolves earned one point as Amanda Carrillo and Vanessa Ortiz earned an 8-5 victory at the No. 1 doubles slot. 

In singles action Ortiz earned a 6-3. 0-6, 10-4 victory at the No. 2 singles position. Carrillo won in consecutive sets 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 3 singles slot and Rebeca Martinez earned a 6-3, 6-0 win at the No. 5 singles match.

The Wolves return to action against Wingate on March 17 versus Wingate at 2 p.m.
