NEWBERRY – The Newberry Wolves will be on the road Wednesday, December 16 as they will be going to Mars Hill to face the Lions at 8 p.m. in the Stanford Arena.

The Wolves faced the Lions two times last year in conference play. The first game was on January 17th as Newberry went on to win 108-100 in overtime. The second meeting was on February 21st in Eleazer Arena where the Wolves won 79-70.

Newberry will look to get back to back wins after beating Anderson on Saturday. Xavier Holmes earned his second double-double in two games as the Wolves went on to beat Anderson 81-73 Saturday night at Eleazer Arena in a tough SAC game.

• Newberry shot 45.3% in the field and 29% from behind the arc while the Trojans shot 42% in the field and 30.4% from behind the arc.
• The Wolves forced 18 turnovers and grabbed nine steals.
• Xavier Holmes held team high with 23 points and 11 rebounds while taking two steals and two blocks.
• Brandon Taylor notched 12 points, eight boards, two assists and one steal.
