GAFFNEY - The No. 12 Newberry Wolves picked up wins in all 10 bouts of the dual for a 37-0 rout over Limestone at the Timken Center on Wednesday night.
Newberry moves to 8-3 in dual action for the season.
The Wolves notched bonus points in three bouts on the night, with 149-pounder Seiji Borja (North Charleston, S.C.) earning the highlight win of the night with a pin of Nick Leitten just 56 seconds into the match.
Newberry's other win by fall was recorded by 165-pounder Lukas Gilmore (Greenville, Mich.), who needed just 1:14 to pin Matt Farmer. Joe Pittman (Forsyth, Ga.) won the 174 lbs. bout by a 15-3 major decision.
The scarlet and gray held on to the shutout thanks to close victories, as 157-pounder Dennis Flores (Hanahan, S.C.), 184-pounder Jared Holliday (Burlington, N.J.) and 197-pounder Huston Evans (Springfield, Ohio) each won decisions by two points or less.
Newberry's next dual action comes on Wednesday, February 4, at King University in Bristol, Tenn.
