NEWBERRY - Seniors Susana Aguirre and Romina Adum were the lone Wolves to earn victories on Sunday at Newberry High School as Newberry fell 6-3 to the visiting Tusculum Pioneers.
Tusculum (14-1, 5-0 SAC) earned a pair of doubles points, while the Wolves (10-5, 6-2 SAC) managed a lone victory at No. 1 doubles. It was at No. 1 that Aguirre (Guayaquil, Ecuador) and Adum (Guayaquil, Ecuador) earned an 8-5 win over Kate Hutchinson and Kealee Heffner.
Aguirre added to her daily win total with a straight sets victory over Erin Mills at No. 1 singles.
No. 2 singles saw Adum notch a two-set win over Sarah Baker to improve to 7-1 in South Atlantic Conference play.
The Wolves play host to the Coker Cobras on Tuesday with a 3 p.m. scheduled first serve.
