NEWBERRY - The Newberry women's tennis team was nearly perfect as the Wolves toppled the visiting Carson-Newman Eagles 8-1 at Newberry High School on Saturday.

Another team point came at No. 1 doubles as seniors Susana Aguirre (Guayaquil, Ecuador) and Romina Adum (Guayaquil, Ecuador) knocked off Stefy Stand and Breanne Tremblay 8-4. The Wolves completed the doubles sweep with an 8-6 win at No. 3 by sophomore Tara Lamers (Maastricht, The Netherlands) and senior Ariel Strong (Cassatt, S.C.).
