No. 2 Newberry roughs up Findlay, 36-6

NEWBERRY - The No. 2 ranked Newberry Wolves cruised to their third win of the day, picking up a 36-6 victory over the Findlay Roughnecks in the fourth session of the Super Region Two Duals on Saturday.

Newberry moves to 14-1 on the season and next wrestles Findlay at 1:30 p.m. today.

Starting with a solid win at 125 lbs. from Travis Laxton (Live Oak, Fla.), the Wolves pushed ahead to a big lead. Trung Duong (Lynchburg, Va.) earned a decision at 133 lbs.

B.J. Young (Jackson, N.J.) earned his second technical fall of the day, putting him in second place nationally with five tech falls on the season at 141 lbs.

Seiji Borja (Charleston, S.C.) at 149 lbs. and Taylor Knapp (Lawrenceville, Ga.) at 157 lbs. each earned pins before the Wolves lost back-to-back decisions.

The scarlet and gray closed out the dual with a pin from Jared Holliday (Burlington, N.J.), a major decision from Joey Grisko (Gloucester Township, N.J.) and a decision from Matt Wade (Easton, Md.).
