ANDERSON, S.C. - The sophomore pairing of Ariel Strong and Susana Aguirre won in both doubles and singles action on Saturday as the Wolves fell to the Anderson Trojans 6-3 at the Max Grubbs Courts.

Strong (Cassatt, S.C.) and Aguirre (Guayaquil, Ecuador) scored Newberry's first team point of the afternoon when the duo edged out their opponents at No. 1 singles 9-8 (8-5).

In singles play, Strong cruised to an easy straight sets victory, dropping only three games in her victory at No. 1. At No. 2 singles Aguirre also won in straight sets, but was forced to finish the match in a second set tiebreak.

The Wolves return home tomorrow for a noon meeting with the visiting Lady Railsplitters of Lincoln Memorial.
