GAFFNEY, S.C. - The Newberry College volleyball team arrived at the Timken Gym ready to play, and it was apparent in the scarlet and gray's performance. The team played strongly and was able to knock off both of its opponents without losing a set.

In the first match of the evening, Newberry faced off against Pfeiffer. The two teams shared a 2-2 record entering the match. Each set was both close and hard fought, but Newberry found ways to win the key points and defeat the Falcons by scores of 25-21, 25-21 and 25-23.
