Sharks beat Indians 16-3

DAVIE, Fla. - Newberry baseball fell by a score of 16-3 to the Sharks of Nova Southeastern in non-conference action on Saturday evening.

The Indians pitching staff gave up 21 hits 15 earned runs in the second meeting of the weekend with Nova Southeastern. Newberry won the first game 4-2.

Newberry hitters mustered three runs on six hits. Catcher Jose Rosa went 1-for-2 and is hitting .500 on the young season. David Tunstill, Scott Horvath, and Kris Garcia all had doubles. Garcia leads Newberry regulars with .273 average and three RBI.

The Indians finish up their four day trip to Davie, Florida with an 11 a.m. tilt with #14 Columbus State University.
