MARS HILL, N.C. - The Newberry College volleyball team swept Mars Hill College, 30-20, 30-25 and 30-25, in South Atlantic Conference action at Stanford Arena on Friday night.

Newberry (14-6 overall, 4-6 SAC) was led by Priscila Sales (Belo Horizonte, Brazil), who had 14 kills, an ace and two block assists.

Cara Coleman (Allentown, Pa.) had 10 kills, two solo blocks and three block assists, while Christy Stegall (Fort Mill, S.C.) led the team with 16 digs. Fernanda Frey (Sao Paulo, Brazil) was one kill short of a double-double with nine kills and 15 digs.

Brittany Enloe (Bat Cave, N.C.) led MHC with 11 kills, 18 digs and a service ace. Sarah Paquette (Swannanoa, N.C.) provided MHC with 19 assists. Tiffany Oreka (Chesapeake, Va.) had 10 digs in the match.

The Lady Indians look to improve their conference position on Saturday at 2 p.m., when they take on the Carson-Newman College Lady Eagles at Holt Fieldhouse in Jefferson City, Tenn.
