LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Newberry College wrestling team went 2-1 at the Liberty University Quad Meet Wednesday. The Indians defeated Division I program James Madison as well as Campbellsville University, while falling to hosts Liberty University.
The wins piled up for Newberry (7-2-1) thanks to Kelly Anundson (Sparks, Nev.) won all three of his matches in the 197-pound weight class by fall. Also going 3-0 on the day were Quinn Tolbert (Summerville, S.C.) in the 174-pound weight class and Keeno Griffin (Jacksonville, Fla.) in the 184-pouns weight class.
The Indians next hit the mat on Dec.2, when they travel to Jefferson City, Tenn. to participate in the Carson-Newman Quad Meet.
