NEWBERRY, S.C. - Newberry College, trailing 6-3 in the fifth inning against Bluefield College, put up five of seven runs off Dustin Smith (Conway, S.C.) home runs in back-to-back at bats to win 10-6. Jamestown College knocked off the Indians 16-1 in the nightcap, as well as defeating Bluefield's Rams 5-1 in the early game.

Jamestown College scored early and often against the Indians, pouring in six runs in the second inning and scoring 14 before NC got its first run. Kyle Larson (Helena, Mont.) starred offensively for the Jimmies, going three-for-four with a triple and a pair of runs batted in. Kyle Anderson (Bremerton, Wash.) and Sam Joseph (Kent, Wash.) turned in two-run homers in the sixth and seventh frames respectively to pad the lead even further.
