MARS HILL, N.C. - The Lions' volleyball team swept the visiting Indians of Newberry College this afternoon in Stanford Arena.  Game scores were 30-14, 30-19, and 34-32.

MHC improved to 2-7 in the SAC and 11-13 overall with the win.  Newberry fell to 2-7 in league play and 7-12 overall.

Freshman Cara Coleman (Allentown, Pa.) led the Indian cause with 11 kills.  Junior Alicia Khoury (Toledo, Ohio) served up 32 assists on the evening.

MHC will return to action on Tuesday, October 19, when they host Tusculum College at 7:00 p.m.  Newberry will host USC Aiken at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th as well.
