OXFORD, Ohio - Newberry College freshman Caitlyn Warren has been named the Independent Schools Alliance's Rookie of the Week for the second consecutive week, as announced by the organization Tuesday.
Warren (Richmond, Va.) was the Wolves' leading peformer in the loss to Mercy last Saturday, scoring two goals. She is Newberry's team leader on the year with five goals and three assists for a total of 13 points.
Other ISA honorees this week were Mercy's Nicole Bencsik on offense and Bellarmine's Alex Moro on defense.
The Wolves hit the road for their next six games, starting with a Friday afternoon matchup with fellow first-year ISA program Dowling College on Long Island. Newberry visits nationally-ranked Millersville (Pa.) on Sunday.
