Newberry College Athletics

Samantha Cotes earned a bachelor's degree in athletic training from Quinnipiac University in 2024 and a master's degree in athletic training from the University of South Carolina in 2026.  

During her undergraduate career, she worked with Yale Football, Quinnipiac Men's Lacrosse, and Quinnipiac Women's Rugby. While serving as a graduate assistant at UofSC, she worked as a Head at Camden Military Academy and Gamecock Football.  

Cotes' first full-time position is at Newberry College Football, Men's Basketball and Flag Football.  

Originally from Poughkeepsie, NY, Cotes is certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association and is a certified emergency medical technician. She is also a mother to a cat named Zero.
