Allison Traub serves as the goalkeeper coach for the Newberry College women's soccer program while also serving the College as an assistant professor of exercise science.
Traub began her coaching career at Newberry as a volunteer coach before being elevated to her current role. Prior to joining the Wolves, she coached with South Carolina United FC (SCUFC) in Columbia, South Carolina, working specifically with goalkeepers.
In addition to her coaching experience, Traub has competed at the semi-professional level in both Virginia and South Carolina, playing in the USL W League and Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL).
Collegiately, Traub competed at the University of Tampa and Chowan University. During her playing career, she earned Conference Carolinas First Team All-Conference honors, was named Female Athlete of the Year and earned Defensive Player of the Week honors three times. She also served as a team captain in both soccer and acrobatics and tumbling.
A longtime product of Loudoun Soccer, Traub competed with the club throughout her youth career. She also participated in the Olympic Development Program (ODP), gaining experience at both forward and goalkeeper before ultimately specializing in goal.
Alongside her athletic and coaching career, Traub has built an extensive academic background in exercise and sport science. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a minor in Coaching from Chowan University in 2022 before completing a Master of Arts in Business Organizational Leadership from Chowan in 2023. She earned her Ph.D. in Health Sciences with a cognate in Exercise and Sports Science from Liberty University in 2026.
A native of Hamilton, Virginia, located outside of Washington, D.C., Traub has two dogs, Jack and Ella.
