At James F. Byrnes HS
Dempsey lettered in women's basketball and soccer. As a point guard she earned best defensive player, Farm Bureau all-tournament team, MVP of the UNC camp, and selected to play in the all-star north/south game her senior year. Was named All-Area and All-Region for soccer.

Personal

In her free time she enjoys fishing, kayaking, and going to the lake. Her favorite things to eat are crab legs, japanese food, and pickles. Her favorite musician is Luke Combs. Dempsey's favorite athletic moment is kicking a 30 yard feield goal in front of about 10,000 people at a Byrnes vs Woodruff football game to win free Zaxby's for a year. She aspires to be a coach for basketball or soccer at the high school level then move up to college. She is the daughter of Joe and Paulette Dempsey.
