Lawrence was born in Cambridge, England, and he was raised in Cary, NC. He has been playing tennis since he was 8 years old, and he trained at Raleigh Racquet Club in Raleigh, NC. After playing his freshman and sophomore years at Newberry College during the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons, Lawrence will be returning for his junior year of eligibility.
