Personal 
Has made several All-Star and All Regional teams from 2004-07 during his time with his club Kreisliga. He won four Regional Indoor Cups with FC Angeln 02 (2011-14) and won the prestigious Indoor Audi-Cup in 2014.

The most memorable moment in his career was a 2017 youth game with his first club team in Germany. In a K.O.-Game, they faced a Swedish team in the Gothia Cup tournament in Sweden. At halftime they were down 3-0, but Malz and his team fought until the end and scored in the final moments to tie the match at 3-3 and force a penalty shootout. Malz and his teammates prevailed in the shootout to advance in the tournament.
