DAVIDSON, N.C. — The Newberry College women's triathlon team continued its 2026 season at the Lake Davidson Sprint Triathlon on Sunday, finishing fourth overall with 95 team points. 

The Wolves were led by Kayleigh Geel, who posted Newberry's top finish, placing 27th overall with a chip time of 1:12:48.13. Geel completed the swim in 10:31 before recording a 37:22 bike time and a 24:29 T2 and run time. 

Anna Laskodi followed closely behind, finishing 29th overall with a time of 1:16:18.86. Laskodi recorded an 11:47 swim, 37:39 bike, and 26:22 T2 and run. 

Sophia Dalla finished in 1:27:42.00, while Daritzamar Estrada Flores recorded a time of 1:29:19.34. Shannon Morison rounded out the Wolves with a time of 1:32:08.04. 

The Wolves will return to action on Oct. 4 at the Conference Carolinas Championships at Wingate University. The championship marks Newberry's first opportunity to compete for a Conference Carolinas title in women's triathlon.
