This week's South Carolina Army National Guard Players of the Week are junior midfielder Payton Keeler (Bridgeville, Del.) and junior defender Kaden Rodriguez (Buford, Ga.).

Keeler her team to a historic weekend as the #7 ranked Wolves defeated #6 Mansfield 4-2 and #4 ranked West Chester 3-0 on the road. Keeler scored a goal against Mansfield to give the Wolves a 2-1 lead they would never relinquish and assisted on Finet Heemskerk's goal that gave Newberry a 1-0 first half lead. She is tied for the team lead in goals (4) and is second in points (11) and assists (3) for the 5-0 Wolves.

Rodriguez capped a perfect week for the Wolves' men's soccer team by coming off the bench to score the game winning goal with 8:36 remaining as Newberry defeated Tusculum 2-1 in a key South Atlantic Conference match at Smith Road Complex. It was his first career goal with the Wolves and helped the team improve to 3-0-1 overall and 1-0-1 in the SAC, the best start for the program since 2003.
