This week's Newberry College South Carolina Army National Guard Players of the Week are freshman golfer Natalia Aguilar (Mexico City, Mexico) and junior sprinter Shamar Brown (Manchester, Jamaica).
 
Aguilar finished first at the Savannah State Spring Invitational at  Crosswinds Golf Course in Savannah, Ga. to lead the Wolves to the team title in extremely wet conditions.  Aguilar shot rounds of 75 and 79 for a two-day total of 154, two shots ahead of her teammate Blanca Noriega. 
 
Brown ran a personal best time of 53.38 to take first place in the 400-meter hurdles at the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge.  His time eclipsed his season best from a year ago of  54.35 set at the Duke Invitational and Saturday's time would have been the sixth best time in the SAC from a year ago.
