The Newberry College field hockey team was honored for their work in the classroom as the National Field Hockey Coaches Association honored them as one of 13 Division II teams with the esteemed 2024 National Academic Team Award.

This prestigious acknowledgment is granted to programs that have achieved an exceptional team grade-point average of 3.5 or higher during the fall semester of the current academic year.

As a team the Wolves achieved a 3.53 team grade point average during the fall semester with six student-athletes earning a perfect 4.0 grade point average.
