FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA - The Newberry Wolves women's wrestling team battled tonight, but ultimately fell 47-0 to a strong and disciplined Emmanuel University squad.

Despite the final score, the Wolves showed toughness across all ten bouts, pushing the Lions through long exchanges and hard fought scrambles. Celeste Welch at 110 and Trinity Halls at 124 each delivered determined performances, extending their matches deep into the action before being losing by a fall. While Newberry was unable to break through for team points, the dual provided meaningful competitive reps that will fuel the team's continued growth and sharpen their focus moving forward.

The Wolves look to bounce back from this performance at their next dual against the University of Mount Olive on February 3rd in Eleazer Arena.
