This week's South Carolina Army National Guard Newberry College Players of the Week are sophomore cross country runner Olivia Hare (Worksop, England) and senior midfielder Alex Lopez (Rock Hill High School).

Hare was the Wolves top finisher at the USC Beaufort Sand Shark Invitational, clocking a time of 19:26.5 over the 5-kilometer course to finish in 20th place out of 100 competitors to lead the Wolves to a seventh place finish out of 13 teams. Hare has been the Wolves top finisher in every race this season.

Lopez scored a goal and dished out an assist in Newberry's 4-0 win over Bob Jones. The win was the fifth of the season for the Wolves, the most for the program since posting a 9-8 record in 2019. Lopez has two goals and two assists this season and has five goals and four assists in his Newberry College career.
