RECAP: Newberry College women's soccer dominated in their season opener game, winning 5-0, on Thursday (September 5th) versus Shorter University. The Wolves scored three goals in the first half and added on two more in the second half.

Newberry jumped out to an early lead in the first 15 minutes, with duo Becca Lipp and Emily Castaneda both scoring. Lipp put two balls in the back of the net with Castaneda assisting on both.
