Recap: Women's field hockey played their first match Thursday (September 15) versus Coker. The Wolves secured a win against the Cobras ending the score 7-0. The Wolves showcased their prowess with goals from Agustina Montserrat, Emma Westbrook, Zoe Barker, Hannah Chalmers, and Lieke Varenkamp. Westbrook and Varenkamp each contributed multiple goals, while assists came from teammates, including Zoe Barker and Tamsin Bangert. 
 
GAME HIGHLIGHTS 

• Agustina Montserrat scored the Wolves first goal of the year, unassisted, in the first quarter.
• Emma Westbrook netted another first-half goal with an assist from Lieke Varenkamp.  
• Zoe Barker scored on an assist from Emma Westbrook to close out the first half scoring. Newberry led 3-0 at halftime.
• Hannah Chalmers found net early in the third quarter with an assist from Parker 
• Lieke Varenkamp scored later in the third quarter on an assist by Tamsin Bangert 
• Zoe Barker added a fourth quarter goal on an assist from Lieke Varenkamp to make the score 6-0.
• Emma Westbrook closed out the night with a fourth quarter goal assisted from Tamsin Bangert.
