CHARLESTON, S.C. – With the final round in the books, the Newberry College women's golf team finished ninth at the Low Tide Intercollegiate tournament at Dunes West Golf Club.

Noelia Adkins (+11) finished tied for 22nd overall individually after carding a 77 today on the par-72 course. Adkins led the team in par-4 scoring and also had a team-best six birdies throughout the tournament.

Nicole Strydom (+16) was five shots back of her teammate in a tie for 29th after scoring a 78 in the final round. Strydom finished the tournament with four birdies while making the lone eagle in the field on the par-4 9th today.

Sofia Liden shot a 79 in Round 3 and led the way in par-3 and par-5 scoring for the Wolves.

Blanca Noriega completed the scoring for Newberry with her round of 84 this afternoon and finished with five birdies over her three rounds.

Newberry returns to the course on Monday and Tuesday, March 11 and 12 at Stonebridge Golf Club in Monroe, North Carolina, for the Jerry Surratt Memorial Intercollegiate.
